Theo Detweiler

I am a writer, editor, and researcher based in
Los Angeles and London.

My work asks how humans confront other lifeforms and new technologies, and how this shapes science and culture in the past and present.

My writing has appeared in the Oxford Middle East Review and Columbia Journal of History and been peer-reviewed in Archives of Natural History and the Plant Humanities Lab. I also support editorial and research work at the Berggruen Institute.

I am beginning a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge and recently started Virtual Fossils.
